BESPOKE TRAIN JOURNEY
the experience
Travelling by train is a way of life. Slide back your compartment door to elegant fabrics and lush draping, try an exquisite cuisine whilst sitting in the restaurant carriage where white tablecloths set the scene, toast to life in the bar as your champagne glass catches the light projecting a thousand colours across the room.
Spreading across Europe, Asia, North- or South America, trains enable you to discover in style some of the world’s most exciting destinations. It isn’t about the final stop; rather it is about the journey itself: enjoying delicate cuisine, sleeping in authentic sleeper cars that exude art deco charm, and admiring the picturesque landscape changing as your train moves forward. Travelling by train may be a slower way of getting around, but it gives you the possibility to see much more of a country and its scenery, and it is a journey and vacation in one.
Beautiful Ireland for example is a perfect country for gazing at from a comfortable train. Discover the coast, visit the gorgeous lakes, or even old castles. Or, if you are the speed freak of train lovers, travel on the famous Shinkansen bullet train in Japan which links most major cities on the island.
Train travel has something refreshingly traditional, particularly if you’re travelling over a long multi-night route. It’s one of the least stressful ways of transportation. You have comfortable seats; plenty legroom and you are able to move around as you like. Every moment can be enjoyed with a nice meal served by uniformed staff, reading a book, playing cards, or simply watch the scenery rushing by. Travelling by train is a great for couples as well as for families looking for a different kind of experience rather than a simple stay in a resort or a hotel.
