FINLAND LUXURY TRAVEL
Finland is a Northern European nation bordering Sweden, Norway and Russia, and in the South the Baltic Sea. This is a place where fashionable design, inspired technology and epicurean scenes meet incredible landscapes, and epic stretches of wilderness of the deep north. With over 1000 km in length Finland is renowned for the Aurora Borealis, its wild nature with endless forests and lakes, the real Santa Claus in the mysterious Arctic Circle, Finnish saunas and the Midnight Sun that never sets in summer months.
Finland has more forest per square mile than any country in Europe and offers some of the best possibilities of the continent for hiking, kayaking, skiing, ice fishing and canoeing. Its fabulous network of national parks is home to many wild animals such as bears and elks that hide deep in the forests. Up in the North, it is also possible to hire a bunch of dogs, a posse of reindeer or a snowmobile for a trek across snowy solitudes on the search for the dancing Northern Lights. This phenomenon is exceptionally bright in this region, with colors varying from green to blue and even pink.
But Finland isn’t only about vast landscapes, pristine wilderness and colors shows. There are vibrant cities such as Helsinki, an electrifying urban space with renowned music scenes and innovative design. It is a spectacular ensemble of modern architecture, restaurants and stylish bars – and the « new Suomi » epicurean scene is flourishing, with locally foraged flavors to the fore.
Finally, Finland is the land of Father Christmas who lives in Lapland, the most genuine region of the country – a wild area in the North, and home to the nomadic Sami and their reindeer. It is a perfect destination for families as you will have the chance to see him in his natural habitat and a great experience for the children.
